For plans submitted through the City of Arvada eTRAKiT system, complete the permit application in Mobile Eyes as outlined above. Building plans do not need to be submitted through Mobile Eyes if they were sent through eTRAKiT, a permit application only is required to be submitted to AFPD. Please note that there will be permits issued by both the City of Arvada and the AFPD.

Construction Fire Safety
All new buildings and building additions will be required to have an approved construction fire safety plan provided to AFPD prior to a building permit being issued. Tenant finish projects over 5,000 square feet and those at the discretion of the plan reviewer will also require a fire safety plan.

This plan must address all relevant items from National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 241 "Standard for Safeguarding Construction, Alteration, and Demolition Operations, and the International Fire Code Chapter 33 "Fire Safety During Construction and Demolition." Please reference the appropriate edition of the International Fire Code based on the jurisdiction.

A sample Construction Fire Safety Plan can be found HERE or the general contractor may submit their own plan as long as all relevant items have been included.
